Lacey Days

finally

Lace is one of my all-time favorite fabrics: it’s eye-catching, delicate and flattering. Lace is a summer or spring go-to, but if paired correctly, it can be a yearlong staple.

Here I’m going with a classic ivory on white look, which really pops on darker skin tones. I chose to accessorize with thin, silver hoops and a messy top-knot. Minimal effort, but the result is cool and chic.

There are lots of details going on here: lace, a high neckline, a back detail, and ripped jeans, so to keep it all from clashing, I paired the look with a soft blush heel.

About these jeans: white jeans are essential to any glam girl’s closet. They’re versatile and super flattering. I bought these on a total whim at Hollister (which I hadn’t shopped at since I was 16) where I saw a sign for $25 jeans. So I went in and tried these on – and it was love. They sit higher on the waist, are cropped and have a nice stretch. The silhouette has definitely transformed from 2008’s ultra low hip-huggers.
