This weekend I went to Mad Decent Block Party in Fort Lauderdale – which served as a perfect opportunity to sport this boho, festival-esque look.
For this look I pulled pieces together that I’ve collected over the past couple years. The most expensive item I have on here are the ripped jean shorts – a staple piece every girl should have in her closet. The pair I’m sporting are MinkPink’s slasher flick cutoffs. I was able to snag them for $31 from Amazon, but the price goes up or down depending on the site’s availability. If you’re on the search for a pair of good cutoffs, I suggest you go for these – and check the site frequently for price drops. MinkPink’s shorts are the perfect length and are made from a thick material that will last tons of washes.
I love this crochet top. And I got it at CVS Pharmacy… I swear. Except at the time it had tacky little shells hanging from the ‘V’ detail on the front. I knew the top could be something special, though. So I snagged it at $15, spent 20 minutes cutting the little shells off, and bam: you’ve got a Coachella-worthy festival look.

For my makeup, I decided to go with a soft look that would stand the hot weather. I used a light CC Cream as my foundation and set it with a translucent powder. To give my cheeks some life, I dusted on a mauvy blush.
For my eyes I used mostly neutral colors (all on the original Urban Decay ‘Naked’ Palette $54) and blended them all evenly. I lined the top lids with a soft black pencil, and finished by curling my lashes and coating them with black mascara.

For my lips I used a sheen fuschia lipstick, and topped that with a glittery pink gloss (gloss is making a comeback so search your drawers for those old Victoria’s Secret glosses you used in 8th grade).
