Where can you get a relaxing spa experience and target each of your body’s needs at the cellular level, in less than one hour? IV+ introduces custom-made cellular therapy for those seeking to improve their health through laser-focused, personalized blends of vitamins and minerals with no preservatives, that go straight to the cell, all while you relax in a lavish spa-like location. The new cutting-edge cell-rejuvenation therapy center just opened its first South Florida location in Bal Harbour, and this past weekend, I went in for a personalized treatment to see what the hype is all about.

I walked into the spa unsure of what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The modern, sleek location truly sets you up for a relaxing experience right when you step inside. IV+’s Bal Harbour location is truly a spa – zen music and comfy recliners included. I was warmly greeted by Jaime Zuluaga, the facility’s EMT-Paramedic. With eight years of experience working in emergency medicine and hydration therapy, Jaime put me right at ease.

Now, ask anyone – I’m not the bravest person when it comes to anything medicine related. I usually faint at the site of blood, and science is probably on the bottom of my list of favorite subjects. But after learning about some of the benefits of intravenous (IV) treatment, I was ready and excited for the experience.

Intravenous treatment delivers a combination of nutrients tailored to your needs, directly into your bloodstream, fortifying your cells and offering results with minimal time commitment. Every IV+ treatment is customized to serve each client’s specific needs, and is designed to strengthen your immune system, making you look and feel rejuvenated.

After discussing what I wanted to gain out of my treatment, Jaime and I decided on the Myers Cocktail multivitamin – which has vitamin C, B-complex, B12, magnesium, calcium and Glutathione, the last of which I learned is the big Hollywood secret for anti-aging and beauty. It literally leaves your skin glowing.

Me receiving my “Myers cocktail multivitamin.” Happy as a clam!

During my IV treatment, as the effects of the treatment started to kick in, I immediately began to feel relaxed. In all honesty, it was a little bit surprising to see how quickly my  body reacted to it! I was told that because it was my first time receiving intravenous treatment, my body might react a little strongly to the initial introduction of vitamins and minerals. But it wasn’t a bad feeling. Rather, my body could just tell that something new was happening to it.

Fast-forward one hour – my IV is all done! I stand up and feel relaxed and well, sort of like I had just gotten a thorough massage or facial. The exact feeling is hard to describe, but I would say it’s an overall sense of well being.

After chatting with the IV+ team, I learned that the spa doesn’t just offer singular IV treatments. The new facility will soon be hosting Birthdays and group spa days, in which groups can enjoy a relaxing massage along with healthy snacks, all while being treated to cell rejuvenation therapy.

The facility will also soon be offering a couples experience, in which you and your partner can experience the immense benefits of IV+ cell spa, and get a massage in the comfort of the facility’s private VIP room.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my IV+ experience. If you’re trying to get in a good detox after the South Beach Wine and Food Festival or just want to treat your body to some “me time,” IV+ is the move.
